5 Food Habits to Fuel your Body + Hustle

Today I want to share with you an INSIDE look at how I fuel my body. I believe that food is medicine and food is our fuel to help us reach our goals and dreams. I believe in using the resources that God has given us to the best of our ability so we can live out our mission on this earth! <3 And that includes the food we choose to eat!!
5 Food Habits to Fuel your Body + Hustle!
- Cook real and simple meals. – I don’t even like going out to eat. Not only does it cost more money. It makes me feel “eh”. I cook the simplest real meals to provide me energy and brain power. As I have been building my business and making time to live out my dreams, this has been SO key for me. I will always priortize cooking as I can tell such a huge difference in my energy, skin, and overall health
- Eat as many veggies as I can – I love eating the rainbow. I try new vegetables all the time and I aim to get in as many serving as I can a day. This gives my skin a beautiful glow, energy to work hard, and my body feels GREAT!
- Intuitive Eating – I really listen to my body on what types of food it wants to eat. I listen to what spices I am craving, mexican, indian, italian, etc. I listen in on if I need extra veggies and less protein. I add more protein and carbs depending how depleted I feel. If I feel gross, tired, and my skin and energy levels aren’t where I want them to be – I eat more veggies or enjoy my Nutrimeal Free shake. If my stomach is bothering me, I eat foods to heal my stomach and eat less sugar. Basically, I choose and eat foods based on how I want to FEEL.
- Eat more avocados! – I eat about 1/2 an avocado every other day or so. Avocados are amazing super foods that heal my stomach, (healthy fats are key for gut health), provide me super-fuel, and give my skin an extra GLOW. 🙂
- Discover your food senstitivies. – Last year I found out I had a senstivity to eggs. I used to eat a couple eggs a day so NOT eating them anymore was a big change. But I notice a huge difference in my brain power and skin by choosing not to eat eggs. I only really notice anything when I eat eggs by themself. I actually ate eggs just this week and it is very fascinating how my body reacts. My brain power slowed down immensely, I felt a bit off and my skin broke out within just a few hours. By the end of the day, I was crabby and I had a few small cysts. The more eggs I eat at once – the worse the reaction. The cheapest way to learn what foods you are senstive to is by doing an elimination diet. Food allergies and sensitivies are becoming more and more normal. Other foods I choose to eat minimally are: peanuts, dairy, and gluten.
I challenge you to explore one of these habits. Choose one that is new but simple to integrate into your life. Set yourself up for success and make sure to PLAN out the steps to make this habit effortless.
Fueling your body is a DAILY habit not a once a month thing. Choosing to eat only the best foods unique to your body and filling your body with high nutrition is ESSENTIAL to consistent hustle each and every day. <3
