What to Do if you Aren’t Seeing Results in your Health?

Today I want to talk about the big question – what do you do if you still are not seeing results that you want in your health?   

My guess is that you are here on my blog on your own health journey.   You want answers and love learning about health so you can figure out how feel better and put your health auto-pilot.  

You probably eat an all real food diet. You work out at least a few times a week. You take some supplements. You watch how much sugar you eat. You try to be mindful. You stay on the edge of health updates.  

But you still feel stuck and you are not seeing results:  
   

  • You still feel addicted to sugar.   
  • You might binge eat somedays or aren’t sure if it’s a binge.   
  • You break out quite often. (Even when you eat real food, but it’s still gets wayy worse if you don’t)   
  • Your digestive system is way too slow or way too fast.   
  • You feel light headed and dizzy daily.  
  • You stomach feels itchy and bloated from sugar, alcohol and too many starchy carbs.   
  • You feel uncomfortable and bloated in your body.   
  • You are constantly eating and going into the kitchen.   
  • (And you are tired of living in the kitchen)  
  • You can’t fall asleep at night (wired but tired)  
  • You have PMS every month.   
  • Or you don’t have a period!   
  • You still sneeze every day!   

This was me about 2 years ago. I was slowly making progress, but I had so many unanswered questions about why I was still feeling like crap. And I was ready to finally feel better!  

So what should you do?  

1. Hire a holistic nutrition consultant.

Hiring someone to help you is one of the best investments to up-level your health.  Using “dr. google” is overwhelming, takes lots of time, and can be very confusing to sift through all the contradictory information.  “DIY Health” isn’t recommended by western medicine and the same can be said for holistic nutrition. There is more than 1 way to get results. Trust the experts to listen to your detailed story and help you create a plan that will move from where you are to where you want to be.  

2. Invest to create the results that you desire. 

Free advice doesn’t provide as much value as paid advice.  You need to pay something to get BIG results because there is a value exchange.  Otherwise you don’t have anything pushing you to follow through and be as seriously committed.  Results takes commitments.  I know that I wouldn’t have gotten the results I did if I didn’t hire someone to hold me accountable.  There were days I wanted to “cheat”, but I was committed because I put up the money!  

3. Test your Body. 

The best way to know exactly what your body needs is NOT to guess! Instead work with someone who can run labs and learn exactly what you need to improve your health.  Functional testing is a great way to prevent future disease and learn exactly how to nourish your body.  Some foods you regularly eat might be not working with your digestion.  You might have a bacteria overgrowth in your stool causing sugar cravings, etc. There is so much you can discover through testing and will give you faster results than if you just kept guessing.   

When you Hire an Expert + Invest in Yourself + Functional Testing it equals the perfect recipe for big results. No need to waste your time researching anymore. Be told exactly what to do and then you go do it!  (so you can spend more time doing what you love)

Here are some of the results that happened to me when I invested in lab testing + a consultant:  

  1. No more sugar cravings. Not even chocolate!  
  2. I can eat 1 cookie without wanting to eat 10 more cookies. 
  3. I honestly don’t know the last time I binged….aka ate an entire bag of granola in one sitting.  
  4. My digestion Is waaay faster and better! (opening those detox pathways lol)  
  5. I rarely feel bloated and finally feel normal in my body again.  
  6. I don’t spend the entire night in the kitchen constantly eating. (procrastinator central)  
  7. I eat 3 meals a day, snacking whenever I want. Overall, I don’t overly concern myself with food.  
  8. Over a year, I effortlessly lost about 9 lbs. I didn’t even try and that was never my goal!  
  9. My skin doesn’t breakout as often! And sometimes I can eat deep dish pizza and my skin handles it quite well!  
  10. Overall, I feel a lot mental freedom from being less bloated and I am able to wear all my clothes again. I don’t over-think food. And I eat a piece of sugar or deep dish pizza if I want it.  

*Bonus* 11. I also save a ton of money from not buying all the ingredients to make fancy “healthy desserts” and buying all the cool new “healthy” snacks. #realfoodischeaper  

Final Thoughts:

I was tired of not seeing results. There was a point where I knew that I couldn’t keep guessing and throwing my money against a wall. I didn’t have time and money to waste trying new things. There was so many unanswered questions and I needed clear answers. I didn’t know what foods were irritating my gut lining.  And I didn’t know what supplements would work exactly for my body.  
 
Through my journey in just 3 short months of hiring a health consultant and testing, I found out that I had a bacterial overgrowth, candida, and nutritional deficiencies from coming off the pill.  These 3 things cause major sugar cravings because they survive off sugar.  I was also not eating enough food, and not taking the right supplements specifically for ME! I also learned that I wasn’t taking care of myself enough and doing things just for me. Everything I did (and sometimes still do) had to have a purpose it couldn’t be “just for fun”.
